Notes:
- Demographic data is never 100% accurate, but it serves as a good representation of the actual data and is relatively reliable.
- The spreadsheet was last updated on 7/19/24, with both sources for the spreadsheet using ACS 2022 (past 5 years) for its data. As a result, shifts in demographics can occur in the future once new data is available.
- There are some slight discrepancies in data between the two sources. In particular, Census Reporter tends to have most of its metric counts add up to the population count, while CMAP does not.
- Certain data for "neighborhoods" are actually for community areas, which can contain multiple neighborhoods in addition to the ones representative Mah is in charge of. As such, data for them might not be as accurate as the others since they also take into account the demographics for other neighborhood within the area.
- New City includes Back of the Yards, Armour Square includes Chinatown, South Lawndale includes Marshall Square, and Lower West Side includes Pilsen as one of its neighborhoods.
Notes:
- "Other/Multiple" from the race charts includes the following races: Native, Islander, Mixed and Other.
- The education charts only consider Americans that are 25 and older. No degree refers to people who are 25+ that doesn't have a degree, not kids still in school.
- For most situations, it can be inferred that values further away from the district median means that a place has more of its distribution towards one side of the scale. It also means that values close to the median suggests that the place has a similar distribution as the district.
